Acne Bootcamp

The Acne Bootcamp is a guided 12 to 16 week program combining acne-safe skin care products and in-spa treatments by a certified Acne Specialist. Get clear skin, with no drying products or harsh prescriptions.

Let’s see if I understand you:

• You’ve been promised so many times that an acne system or product was going to be your key to clear skin. You tried it and it didn’t work.
• The products you’ve tried in the past made your skin so irritated and/or sensitive that you just couldn’t take it any longer. And besides, you probably were still breaking out. Dry peeling skin AND acne? Unbearable!
•  Eureka! You found something that actually works… but only for a little while. Then the heartbreak of acne comes right back after having had that glimmer of hope.
•  You tried prescription drugs like antibiotics or even Accutane (or it’s equivalents), maybe got clear for a while and then started breaking out again.

You have REALLY good reasons to be skeptical of any clear-skin promises.

Most of our clients are very skeptical when coming to us – what the heck do we know that everyone else has missed? A lot. As a Certified Acne Specialist, our approach takes into account everything about you – we custom-design a clear-skin plan for you using the Acne Treatment System. There is no such thing as a one-size-fits all system. Because everyone is just a bit different, we monitor you very closely to make sure you and your skin is on track to get clear and stay clear. So be skeptical – it’s healthy and expected.

But let us be the last place you ever go to finally get clear skin.

How Our System Works

Acne is a mysterious skin disorder, but one thing is for sure – it can be controlled with the right combination of products, used in the correct way. Just as in a clogged drain, the pore must be treated with products that unclog it and kill the acne bacteria.

Products alone will not solve your acne problem. You also need an acne expert’s guidance.

RITUAL has a clear-skin system that will have your acne under control in about three to four months, depending on your type of acne. We combine the power of clinical-grade products that are customized for your type of acne, with a series of bi-monthly treatments. We also teach you about other aggravating factors that make you break out – foods, medications, cosmetics, stress, and common ingredients in skin care formulations that might be clogging your pores (even professional and prescription products).

As you go through your process of achieving clear skin on your face and/or body, you will want to come in for treatments every two weeks. Treatments are for:

• exfoliating the skin so that home care product can penetrate the pore more easily; or,
• hydrating the skin so that the skin is receptive to your home-care regimen
• extracting existing acne impactions
• killing acne bacteria inside the pore

Each acne treatment is specifically focused on what the skin needs at the time of treatment. Sometimes the skin will need more hydration, other times it will need more anti-bacterial and/or anti-inflammatory action.

How We Are Different!

The most important aspect of our system is not just starting you with the right products, but we teach you but how to use them. We test your skin to make sure you are getting the the most effective products for your acne type, skin type, and skin tolerance. It won’t be enough just to have the right products – it’s all about having the right routine for those products. You will learn how to use products slowly at first, so that your skin stays receptive without causing irritation or dehydration. But skin can become accustomed to products and then become less effective over time – that is why we will adjust your regimen little by little, to get rid of your acne.

We know that you are used to getting a prescription or products from the store, and then are left trying to figure it out all on your own. As a Face Reality Certified Acne Specialist, Stephanie will help you tackle your acne head on, providing strong products with a specific regimen and a balanced approach that is not overly harsh. In-office treatments speed the process, but with our support, our clients find their acne clears up within a few months.

Stephanie will analyze your skin at the beginning of every appointment to assess which treatment would serve you best. Treatments are performed every two weeks until your skin clears.

Acne Consultation

45 minutes / $60*
In your consultation, we take these steps:

• determine your skin type, acne type and skin tolerance
• give you recommendations for the products and treatments you will need to get clear
• go over aggravating factors that make you break out – foods, medications, cosmetics, stress, etc.
• give you a packet of information that has everything that we tell you in the consultation

If you decide to go on our acne-clearing program, you will be instructed on how to use your products for the first two weeks of your program.
*Products are not included in the cost of the treatment. Expect to pay about $150-160 for your first set of acne products at your first appointment. We do not offer Program treatments or extractions to clients that do not use our home care products.

Acne Consultation and Treatment

90 mins / $95*
If you’d like a consultation plus an acne treatment while you’re in the studio, we take these steps:

• determine your skin type, acne type and skin tolerance
• give you recommendations for the products and treatments you will need to get clear
• go over aggravating factors that make you break out – foods, medications, cosmetics, stress, etc.
• give you a packet of information that has everything that we tell you in the consultation
• perform an acne exfoliating treatment with extractions to start clearing your skin*

If you decide to go on our acne-clearing program, you will be instructed on how to use your products for the first two weeks of your program.
*Products are not included in the cost of the treatment. Expect to pay about $150-160 for your first set of acne products at your first appointment. We do not offer Program treatments or extractions to clients that do not use our home care products.
*Must be off of Accutane for at least 30 days prior to treatment. Must be off of Retinoids and Antibacterial/Antibiotics such as Retin-A, Differin, Tazorac, Azelex, Avita, Cleocin-T, E-mycin-T, Clindamycin for at least two weeks prior to treatment.

Acne Treatments

60 minutes / $75 – For existing clients in the program
We will want to see you every two weeks for an acne treatment. It typically takes about six to eight services over a 3 to 4-month period of time to get you mostly to completely clear. Your Acne Specialist will:

• assess your skin’s current condition and determine what type of treatment your skin needs when you come in
• perform an acne exfoliating treatment with extractions*
• document your progress and assess how your home care regimen will be adjusted so that your skin does not over-adapt and stop responding

As you get clear, your time in the studio for treatments will become shorter – there just won’t be as many extractions to do. After your acne is under control, you will simply need to maintain your home care products to keep clear. Some clients choose to come in for periodic “maintenance” treatments every 4-6 weeks.
